Welcome to the last month of Winter!  We have had a lot of fun experiencing the different weather conditions that come with the Winter months ... lots of rain; cold, frosty mornings with beautiful sunny days and some windy days too!!

Wednesday 8th August - BNZ staff will be joining us as part of their 'Closed for Good' project with Penny the Penguin, a fun and interactive digital storybook designed to help children understand the difference between needs and wants.

Monday 13th AugustWe start building our Yellow Brick road from the Castle to the Pagoda to raise funds for Daffodil Day.

Friday 31st AugustYellow Day in the Centre and our Father's Day celebrations

July 2018

What a changeable Winter we are experiencing so far ... lots and lots of rain mixed with some frosty starts and beautiful days.  The children are enjoying getting outside in their jackets, hats and gumboots to enjoy the Winter days whenever possible.  This month we have a very special celebration to look forward to ...

9th to 20th July - School holidays

Wednesday 18th July - Norman, our Pagoda Teddy Bear, is turning 3 years old and to celebrate we are having a Pyjama Day and Teddy Bear's picnic

Thursday 19th July - Oxford Pie orders are due back

Monday 23rd July - School Term 3 begins

Thursday 26th July - Oxford Pies delivery day

Welcome to Winter and what a beautiful first Winter day we are having ... a nice cold, frosty start with clear blue skies and sunshine.  We have a busy month of June ahead:

Friday 1st June - Right Royal Dress Up Day to celebrate the Queen's Birthday

Monday 4th June - Queen's Birthday, the Centre is closed today

Tuesday 5th June - we have Helen Smith, Public Health Nurse visiting to teach us about hand washing and nose blowing

13th to 16th June - Fieldays at Mystery Creek 

Friday 15th June - Matariki; the Maori New Year begins

Thursday 21st June - Shortest Day
